A fire that caused $100,000 damage to a vacant commercial building in east Bakersfield is being investigated.

The structure on Sumner Street near King Street had burned several times before Thursday’s fire, which happened at around 10:30 p.m.

The weakened floors and walls were a danger to firefighters, according to a press release.
