A man behind bars after crashing into two homes in northwest Bakersfield has denied domestic violence and assault with a deadly weapon charges.

35-year-old Steve Vukuich pleaded not guilty Wednesday and is jailed on $1 million bond. He was taken from a Cedarcrest Avenue home last Friday after a seven-hour SWAT standoff.
