Police in Bakersfield are asking for help finding two people involved in a failed strong-arm convenience store robbery.
They say a man and a woman tried to steal cigarettes from the Circle K east of California Avenue and Highway 99 on at around 10:30 p.m. on March 21, with the woman assaulting the cashier. According to a news release, the cashier was able to defend herself, and both people fled the store.
The first suspect is described as a 5-foot-7 male in his early 20s who was wearing a black Monster Energy logo shirt and a dark-colored baseball cap at the time of the incident
The second suspect is described as a 5-foot-4 female in her early 20s with a slim build. She was wearing a pink shirt and black basketball shorts.
Police say both drove away from the scene in an early 2000s Ford Taurus with Bakersfield Auto Exchange dealer plates.
