A maintenance employee at a McFarland almond processing plant had to be medevaced after part of his right arm was amputated in an elevator.

It happened at 1:45 p.m. Wednesday at the Central Valley Almond Association on Garzoli Avenue.

The Kern County Fire Department says the man is in stable condition.
