The Valley Air District is advising people to try to avoid outdoor exposure because of blowing dust.

The agency has published a health caution through Thursday morning for Kern and for seven other valley counties.

They say particulate matter can aggravate lung disease, trigger asthma attacks and bronchitis and increase respiratory infection risks.
