Representatives with the Kern High School District say enrollment levels are at about where they expected one week into the new school year.
Director of Research and Planning Roger Sanchez says they’re still counting heads, but aren’t expecting a huge change from 2014-2015.
“Projected numbers kind of fluctuate between now and our fourth Friday, which is the peak of our enrollment,” he said. “Total district enrollment is currently 37,692.”
Sanchez says they’re expecting the final number to be close to 38,000.
