The Kern County Fire Department is pitching in to fight a large brush fire. The wildfire is burning about 15 miles northeast of Kernville in Tulare County. The Chimney Fire has charred at least 600 acres with no estimate on containment and a strike team with five engines, a helicopter and 42 firefighters were sent by Kern County on Wednesday.
