A 91-year-old man had to be rescued by helicopter from rugged terrain.The rescue came after he fell from a cliff near his home. Kern County Fire says the victim fell Wednesday afternoon around 1:00 in Hart Flat in the hills south of Highway 58. The man was taken to the helicopter base in Keene, then transported by ambulance with multiple injuries.
