The person who drowned in the Kern River near Lake Ming has been identified as a 17-year-old Bakersfield boy. Alejandro Esqueda Garcia was seen swimming towards the shore Friday afternoon when he went underwater and did not resurface. Emergency repsonders were unable to find him until the body was finally located Monday in the river north of the lake.
