The District Attorney is investigating a sheriff’s deputy.The move comes after revelations that as many as forty criminal cases may be impacted by a Sheriff’s Deputy’s failure to log witness audio recordings as evidence. The cases happened from 2006 until 2011 and the D.A.’s office says neither prosecutors nor defense attorneys were made aware of the tapes. The deputy remains with the department and the Sheriff’s Office is not commenting.
