A Bakersfield man is dead and his passenger has been injured after a crash on State Route 43 in Visalia. The CHP says the victim’s Ford was hit and rolled down an embankment when another car ran a stop sign on Avenue 56.

Drugs or alcohol do not appear to be factors in the accident.
