BE A FEMALE WILDFIRE FIGHTER

The U.S. Forest Service is holding a firefighting training camp and are looking for applicants who are women. Julissa Gonzales of the Service says they have a deadline this Sunday to contact them and sign up for the camp in the Los Padres National Forest starting November 27th as they try to get more women onto the fire lines. Those completing the course will have the opportunity to apply for seasonal firefighting positions with the USFS. This is the third annual Women in Wildfire training camp and Gonzales says applications have more than doubled each year.
