Firefighters are still mopping up from a three hundred acre wildfire in the area of Poso Flat. The fire was around Poso Flat and Granite Roads in the mountains northeast of Bakersfield and was accidentally started by a construction crew. Monday afternoon’s fire threatened several homes and County Fire says that’s why they brought out a hundred firefighters and called in. The fire quickly spread through light grasses and brush but they were able to steer it around homes without any evacuations.
