The county Parks and Rec Department is looking into whether a parking fee should be charged at Hart Park. The department let the public weigh in Wednesday about the plan to charge $5 daily and $50 annually. All funds raised would go into a special account for Hart Park maintenance.
Director Bob Lerude thinks low income families would still be able to enjoy the facilities if the county starts charging because they’d appreciate regularly mowed grass and fixed benches.
If the plan passes, Supervisors would have to approve the final version.
