A suspect in the shooting deaths of a father and son at a Lamont gas station has appeared in courtThe suspect did not enter a plea to two counts of first-degree murder with robbery and gang enhancements. The public defender was granted a request Tuesday to move the arraignment of 22-year-old Darnell James Hammond to next Wednesday as he’s being held with no bail. Two other suspects remain at large. Families of both the suspect and victims’ family were in court but sat on opposite ends of the courtroom and did not speak to each other outside.
