An injunction has been lifted on the 24th Street widening project in Bakersfield.However, the bulldozers won’t be demolishing homes just yet. Superior Court Judge Kenneth Twisselman ruled Tuesday opponents of the project have until November 29th to file an appeal, which they say they will do. The city wants to demolish homes near the road to widen it but a citizens group in the area opposes it.
