It appears all but official that Karen Goh has won the race for Bakersfield mayor.The apparent victory comes after the latest update from the County Elections Office. Monday afternoon’s update has Goh with a lead of more than 5,700 votes ahead of Kyle Carter. The Registrar has not indicated how many more ballots may be left to count but the law requires the canvass be completed within thirty days after the election.

Karen Goh 56,766   52.65%

Kyle Carter 51,041    47.34%
