A Los Angeles-area company faces fines for dumping green waste in Kern County.The situation came to light after Kern County Agriculture investigators found they have been dumping green waste at a facility west of Interstate 5. Agricultural Soil Products does not have a permit, but is accused of bagging and selling the lawn and wood waste from a location on Valpredo Avenue. A cease and desist order has been issued as 39 tons of the waste was found to have been illegally transported here. Los Angeles owns a waste site in Kern County where sewage is dumped, but they have required permits after winning a lawsuit against the county.
