Hundreds of solar panels are helping the Community Action Partnership of Kern power their food bank on Feliz Drive in east Bakersfield.

AC Solar Energy began consulting CAP-K on the project five years ago. The installation cost an estimated $500,000 but will generate enough energy to save nearly $50,000 a year.
