The Bakersfield Condors have opened their training camp downtown with one goal: make the playoffs.

They have missed the AHL post-season by one game for the last two seasons, but head coach Gerry Fleming says they have brought in new talent and will have an improved defensive line. The two-week camp will slim the roster down to 20 players.

They start their preseason on the road against the Stockton Heat October 6th.
