Sixth grade students at San Lauren Elementary School in northwest Bakersfield took second place in the annual Cal Water H-2-0 Challenge, which recognizes their work to protect the local watershed. Teacher Julie Moore is credited with inspiring the kids through a field trip and the production of public service announcements.
