An officer involved shooting in east Bakersfield has resulted in the death of a suspect. According to Bakersfield Police, a railroad worker reported a man with a gun on the tracks near East Belle Terrace and Madison Avenue around 9:40 Tuesday morning. The suspect was hit, and died at the scene. No officers were injured. Eight officers discharged their weapons. They’ve all been placed on paid administrative leave.
