It’s been a long wait, but a permanent location has been found for a new Lake Isabella visitor center. The old one had to be removed by construction of an emergency spillway at Isabella Dam, and an interim center has been operating at the Lake Isabella Fire Station. Rick Brown with the U-S Army Corps of Engineers says they’ve purchased the old Bank of America building on the corner of Lake Isabella Boulevard and Nugget Avenue…

Brown says they are in the design phase, construction should begin in 2024, and completed in 2025.
