One person has died and another is injured in a Christmas Eve house fire. Kern County Fire officials say it happened Saturday evening on East Brundage Lane near Fairfax Road. One person was found dead inside the home. Another was taken to the hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation. The cause is under investigation. The home did not have a working smoke alarm.
