Bakersfield’s ‘Big Shoe’ is going to need some big repairs…

Felipe Torres has been the owner of the Big Shoe Repair business since 2002, but the iconic shoe-shaped store has been a Chester Avenue landmark since 1947. A two-car crash in front of the store before noon today forced one of the vehicles off the road and into the front of the building. Torres was cleaning up, but says he’s staying open…

Torres was a little shaken and sore, but no one was hurt in the crash.
