ALLEGATIONS AGAINST SCRIVNER INVESTIGATED AFTER DISTURBING INCIDENT AT HIS HOME

The whereabouts of Kern County Supervisor Zack Scrivner are still unknown, after an incident at his home in Tehachapi. Sheriff Donny Youngblood says he was called late Tuesday by DA Cynthia Zimmer, who is Scrivner’s aunt, she said he was having a psychotic episode and threatening to kill himself.

Youngblood says the child who allegedly stabbed his dad was acting to protect another child, and that a small amount of possible psychedelic mushrooms was found in the home, along with 30 firearms. He would not say if the fourth-term Supervisor was on a 5150 mental health hold, but did say Scrivner was treated for non life threatening injuries and there’s a protective order on his children. The case will be investigated by an outside agency.
