Firefighters braved the heat to battle a two-alarm fire on horse property along Brimhall Road between Verdugo Lane and Calloway Drive. It was burning in the dry grass when crews arrived just before 1:00 Sunday afternoon, where the flames destroyed a structure and damaged a corral. No horses were hurt, according to 17 News, and no other structures were damaged.
