ANNUAL BAKERSFIELD STATE OF THE CITY

Bakersfield City Manager Christian Clegg says the city is a very resilient place, despite obstacles thrown our way by the state, and he is hopeful new laws will be approved to improve people’s quality of life. Clegg was one of two main speakers at Wednesday’s State of the City luncheon at the Marriott Convention Center.

Mayor Karen Goh also spoke, noting homelessness remains a “paramount issue for the city,” and she hears the frustration every day.
