FACELIFT FOR BAKERSFIELD PARKS

Bakersfield parks will be getting a facelift. The city council this week approved a $317 million master plan to provide upgrades and repairs at ten local parks. The Recreation and Parks Department will focus on the parks that fit the plan’s definition of underdeveloped. The 10-year project is an extension of a plan from 2007. A major goal is to follow community input to make the parks safer and more family-friendly.
