It looks like the race for a Kern County Supervisors seat is finally over. A vote count from the November 5 election shows 5th District Supervisor Leticia Perez edging out challenger Kim Salas by 133 votes after county elections officials released their latest vote count Tuesday afternoon. The elections office says it has processed all remaining ballots including unprocessed, provisional, and mail-in ballots after Election Day. The final results for all elections will be published and certified on December 5. Perez and Salas swapped the lead several times as votes continued to be counted since the November 5 election.
