A Bakersfield baby who suffered skull fractures and bleeding on the brain died has died. 1-month old Valentin Gutierrez died Monday night at Children’s Hospital in Madera about a week after his father Eduardo Gutierrez allegedly abused him. Gutierrez reportedly told the child’s mother the boy was fussy and he “made him stop crying.” The 24-year-old is facing a child cruelty charge and will return to court next week.
