Two people are in the hospital after a car crashed into a building in downtown Bakersfield. It happened at around 12:30 a.m. Monday when a sedan and an SUV collided, causing one of the vehicles to crash into the side of a vacant furniture store at Chester Avenue and 24th Street. The driver of the sedan suffered major injuries. The SUV driver had minor injuries.
