U.S. Marshals are offering a $5,000 reward for information on the whereabouts of a convicted killer who escaped from state prison guards in Delano. Cesar Hernandez, 34, allegedly punched a guard and dashed through an open gate in the parking lot of the Kern County courthouse on Jefferson Street as guards were taking him into the building for a status hearing on December 2. He was serving a life sentence at state prison in Delano for a murder in Lynwood in 2018. Anyone with information on Hernandez’s whereabouts is urged to call or text U.S. Marshals at 661-979-1187. All information will remain confidential.
