A McFarland man is facing charges after allegedly leading police on a high-speed chase. Abdalwahab Awnallla, 45, is accused of running stop signs and red lights and driving on the wrong side of the road as he allegedly led police on a chase that reached speeds of more than 100 miles per hour December 12. Authorities say it all started when officers showed up at Awnallla’s house after getting reports he threatened to shoot himself. He took off in his pickup but was captured Monday at the San Ysidro border crossing in San Diego and is being held on $50,000 dollars bail.
