A Kern County man is one of forty people arrested in wildfire evacuation zones established as a result of the Los Angeles County wildfires. Luis Perez and a passenger were apprehended by Santa Monica police early Monday morning during an operation where officers stopped hundreds of motorists who were allegedly violating legal emergency orders and city and county curfew orders. Authorities say Perez had a warrant out of Kern County. Other people arrested were wanted for crimes including burglary, drug possession, and probation and parole violations.
