sex offender enters plea to groping charges

A convicted Bakersfield sex offender has pleaded no contest to groping an EMT while in the back of an ambulance. Myron Washington, Jr., 32, pleaded no contest on Monday to charges of assault with the intent to commit a sex crime, failure to register as a sex offender and indecent exposure after being found competent in a state mental hospital. The EMT encountered Washington in October after being dispatched to a call of a suicidal person. Washington will be sentenced next month to time served and felony probation. The assault charge will count as a strike.
