Highway Patrol officers arrested one person after a pursuit and issued 114 tickets during their “Crash Campaign” operation throughout Bakersfield. Officers from the Bakersfield, Visalia, Porterville, Fort Tejon, and Buttonwillow areas conducted an operation on state routes Monday afternoon aimed at reducing fatal and injury-inducing crashes. Four warnings were given and four vehicles were impounded. Three of the tickets were for drivers speeding over a hundred miles per hour.
