A man accused of sexual battery at a Bakersfield car wash will stand trial. A judge on Tuesday ruled there is enough evidence for a trial against Fernando Moreno who’s accused of spraying semen from a bottle on a woman who was vacuuming her car at Mister Car Wash on Mount Vernon Avenue May 31, 2024.

An employee told police a similar incident occurred May 20, 2024 when the driver of a white Mercedes-Benz with South Dakota plates squirted fluid from a small bottle at a female. Police say they were able to connect the Mercedes to Moreno. The employee picked Moreno out of a photo line-up.

Moreno is a registered sex offender who is also charged with possession of ammunition by a prohibited person. He returns to court February 27.
