Several railroad cars derailed north of Bealville on Tuesday.

Kern County emergency crews were set up at Caliente Bodfish and Kern River roads in response to the derailment of fifteen cars at around 9:30 a.m. Tuesday.

A spokesman for the Kern County Fire Department says the cars were empty, no one was injured, and there was no threat to the community.

Caliente Bodfish Road was closed while the rail cars were removed.

There’s no word what caused the derailment.
