Officials at Bakersfield College have addressed concerns over a social media video showing someone abandoning animals near the college’s Panorama campus.

Authorities at the college said Friday the person connected to the posts has not been employed at BC since 2019.

The video shows someone abandoning animals in the northeast Bakersfield neighborhood.

Kern County Animal Services has not confirmed the identity of the person in the video.
