Chevron has donated $100,000 to Taft College.

Alan Pitts of Chevron’s San Joaquin Valley business unit recently visited the college to present the check.

The money will benefit TC’s Math, Engineering, Science Achievement program by funding a golf cart to transport students to and from the engineering building, located away from the main campus on Ash Street near Buchanan Street. It will also get students to and from the campus and to the parking lots.

The funding will also provide Science Technology Engineering and Math-related toys for the TC Child Developmental Center.
