Kern County Supervisor Jeff Flores has released a statement following the arrest of a man who allegedly threatened a member of the Board of Supervisors.

On Thursday, the 3rd District supervisor expressed his gratitude to the Kern County Sheriff’s Office for the arrest Wednesday of Parrish Buzzard, 61, who allegedly sent several credible threats through email to a member of the Kern County Board of Supervisors. The member’s identity has not been disclosed.

Flores says, “KCSO are true heroes who keep our community safe every day and every night, and they have our gratitude.”

Buzzard was booked into the Kern County jail on several charges including threatening with the intent to terrorize, extortion, threatening certain state officials or judges, and stalking.
