Two men are facing murder charges in connection with a robbery that took the life of a Bakersfield store clerk.

Court documents indicate robbery charges were also filed last year against Joseph Aguirre and Miles Clancy. Aguirre is also charged with possession of a gun and ammunition by a felon.

It happened in October 2020 when two masked men, one armed with a handgun, entered the store — where the clerk was shot to death after grabbing a BB gun to protect himself.

The name of the victim — and the store — have not been disclosed.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled in March.
