Firefighters tackled a blaze an at east Bakersfield warehouse. Authorities say it’s not the first have been called to the area.

The fire broke out just before 4:30 a.m. Thursday on Washington Street near East Brundage Lane.

Officials with the Kern County Fire Department say the area has been a trouble spot since January where crews have tackled four warehouse fires, each fueled by plastics.

Investigators suspect arson in each case.
