Sen. Andy Vidak of Hanford has been appointed to the Natural Resources and Water Committee of the California Senate.

He was named to the position Wednesday, joining Sen. Jean Fuller of Bakersfield. The committee deals with bills that relate to conservation, pollution, and the management of oil, minerals and water.
