A man has admitted to fatally striking a bicyclist with his car in southeast Bakersfield.

28-year-old Jonathan Montiel will be sentenced May 14 after pleading no contest to hit-and-run.

Police found Montiel less than a mile from where 43-year-old Saul Ayala was killed on South Union Avenue in February.
