Bakersfield’s population increased by about 4,800 people last year.

U.S. Census estimates released Thursday put the city’s population at just under 369,000.

Bakersfield is the country’s 52nd-largest city, ahead of Stockton, Riverside, Anaheim, Cincinnati and St. Louis.
