The Bakersfield Museum of Art has named its new curator.

Rachael Magnus had been serving as the museum’s interim curator and beat out over a dozen applicants.

Magnus, who has been with the museum since 2011, replaces Vikki Cruz, who took a job with the Los Angeles County Museum of Art in February.
