Assemblyman Rudy Salas of Bakersfield adjourned the California Assembly on Thursday with a special ceremony honoring the memory of pro football hall-of-fame running back and sportscaster Frank Gifford, who died earlier this month at the age of 84.

The New York Giants legend graduated from Bakersfield High School and played a year at Bakersfield College.
