Global growth concerns buried stocks deep into the red Friday, capping off the market’s worst week in four years.

The Dow plummeted 531 points, the Nasdaq lost 172 and the S&P 500 dropped 65. Crude traded below $40, but eventually settled 87 cents lower to $40.45.
